Walkthrough started as a tiny internal tool. We kept recording short videos for each other — bug reports, design walkthroughs, explainers — and we kept getting annoyed that every recording had to live on some third party’s server, behind some team’s monthly bill.

It felt wrong. A screen recording is a small thing. It should stay with you, not get added to someone else’s ledger.

So we built Walkthrough. It records your screen. It uploads the file to your own Google Drive. It gives you a shareable link. That’s the whole product.

We don’t store your videos, because we think that’s your job. We don’t charge a subscription, because we don’t have ongoing storage costs for you. We don’t require an account, because we don’t have a reason to keep one.
